GRAFFITI REMOVAL PROGRAM

With generous financial support from Hawkesbury City Council and sponsorhip in kind from various companies and individuals, the Club has. since 2011, undertaken a Graffiti Removal Program aimed at keeping Windsor, South Windsor, Bligh Park and McGraths Hill free from the graffiti. With a specially designed trailer, cleaning equipment and materials and a team of Club volunteers, the Club has been removing graffiti from public areas, buildings and fences throughout the area. The quicker graffiti can be removed, the less damage is caused to the surface and the vandals get tired of having their “artwork” deleted.

So that we can ensure all graffiti is eventually removed, please report garffiti issues on the Vandaltrak Web Site, www.vandaltrack.com.au, where you can leave photos of the graffiti, choose a GPS location and this will be sent on to the relevant Rotary Club or Council to deal with the graffiti and remove it. The NSW Police also use this site for gaining intelligence on graffiti vandals and have been successful in recent times in catching many of these people.

Windsor Rotary has been awarded many community praises in recent times. including being awarded the Western Metropolitan Volunteer of the year runner up award and then on Australia Day 2013 were honoured by receiving the Community Volunteers of the Year Award in the Australia Day Awards. Windsor Rotary will continue to fight against graffiti vandals but your help is needed to keep our city free from this scurge.
