Club Meeting – Louisa Hope

Louisa was in the Lindt Cafe at the time of the shootings some three or so years ago. She spent  a number of months in the Prince of Wales Hospital post seige, recovering from a gun shot wound to the leg.   Louisa started a charity called the Louisa Hope Fund for Nurses  http://powhf.org.au/campaign/louisa-hope-fund-for-nurses .

The fund , allows for Nurses initiated projects that are of benefit to patients. This is a way of saying thank you and bring respect to our Nurses by putting seed money directly into their hands. It is used for research, equipment and training as they choose.

The good news however, is that Louisa has also started the Louisa Hope Fund for Nurses at the Nepean Blue Mountains area health service as well. Louisa is very excited about the opportunties for the Nurses in this region and what they will be able to bring to the greater community.
